Tejaswini's Story My interest in technology started when I joined the Girls in Code program in my freshman summer, led by industry leaders like Morgan Stanley, MetLife, Bank of America, and Accenture, and programmed 2 games, explored a game design curriculum and organized the first Scratch programming competition in my high school. I won the Best Functional Website Award in The Stanford Daily - Tech Journalism Program for my website project which further motivated me to pursue STEM.

🙋‍♀️ Tejaswini's Motivation

If selected, I hope this experience will satisfy my current questions about programming, and give me an opportunity to work on interesting projects with peers, giving rise to more intellectually challenging questions. I am eager to gain a variety of coding skills. I am excited to meet and make friends with like-minded peers as well who are as enthusiastic about tech as I am.

🤹‍♀️ Tejaswini's Hobbies

I read fiction/novels, primarily fantasy/sci-fi/romance and watch dramas that are exclusively women centric. I also skate, swim, and try out new restaurants and dishes. I like reading new tech blogs and finance market trends as well.

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
