Lethabo's Story 2. I first became interested in coding back in high school when I started learning HTML as part of my Computer Applications Technology subject. This passion drove me to pursue Computer Science at the University of Witwatersrand for two years where I learned how to code in C++. Despite not being able to complete my studies due to academic exclusion , my interest in coding did not stop.

🙋‍♀️ Lethabo's Motivation

1. My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes is that it's been recommended by successful women in software development I admire, such as Teboho Nthako and Tasha Abigail, both SheCodes alumni. The structured curriculum and graded assignments appeal to me because it provides clarity on my coding progress. SheCodes offers a community of other coders which offers networking opportunities , feedback, and support which I find valuable for my coding journey.

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
