Hilina's Story I I got interested in coding back in high school when we learned HTML and CSS. But I didn't have a computer at home, so I couldn't practice and fell behind. I couldn't even finish my assignment, but I think it's awesome and those doing it are really cool

🙋‍♀️ Hilina's Motivation

Is is that I strongly disagree with the idea that women aren't as good at math and tech. As a feminist, that just doesn't sit right with me. But seeing how few women are actually in tech, I'll admit I've had moments of doubt. Maybe there is some kind of difference in skills? But then I think about my own life. Growing up, nobody ever pushed me to learn programming; it wasn't something girls were expected to do. That’s when it clicked: It's not that we lack the ability; it's that society and these outdated ideas hold us back. We're not given the same chances. I really wanted to prove myself I am capable of tgat. The other thing is that I have a creative mind and like to initiate projects but I have always lacked the tech part that I needed in most of my project ideas.

🤹‍♀️ Hilina's Hobbies

I enjoy initiating projects and leading initiatives that provide benefits to others. I like reading books and engaging with friends.
