Aida's Story A friend of mine had passed a coding course and succeeded to get a great funding for a phd position because of this skill. That was what stimulated me to learn coding. Besides that I have applied for a few PhD programs and I have seen that knowing coding accounts for an invaluable skill in many programs.

🙋‍♀️ Aida's Motivation

I am applying for different PhD positions in the field of mechanical engineering. Knowing how to code would be a privilege for me over the other candidates. I have studied engineering and I have recently defended my masters. Since all the majors are quite interdisciplinary these days, knowing how to code is a boon for all engineers and I am not an exception to this. Besides this I believe it can broaden my scope on research in general and TEM microscopes in particular.

🤹‍♀️ Aida's Hobbies

When I took up teaching as a vocation, I had no idea of it being my joie de vivre one day. These days it turns out to be my vocation and avocation.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
