Guen's Story I am a self-taught UI/UX designer and developer (but only limited to Canva, currently still studying Figma) with a passion for designing while optimizing productivity, efficiency and service quality across various environments. I love the challenge of building something beautiful that solves problems.

🙋‍♀️ Guen's Motivation

I had just learned about SheCodes today and my heart is full just knowing that a foundation like this exists. I am highly motivated for learning how to code with SheCodes because I would like to be able to represent more women in this industry and be an inspiration to other younger women. I am in the middle of curating a system (using Notion) for a Start Up Agency that will open doors for a lot of Filipino Creators to the worldwide market. In this agency, I provide hands on training for Project Management to be able to provide the necessary skills and experience for aspiring Filipinos not just to transition but also establish their career in the Freelancing Industry. If I were to be given an opportunity to be given a scholarship, this will in return open doors for bigger opportunities and I will be able to sponsor aspiring women just like me.

🤹‍♀️ Guen's Hobbies

I am natural problem-solver, I have always grown a liking to puzzles, games, Sci-Fi or Mystery Films or Series. Anything that essentially challenges my brain to think differently or just anything fresh.

The Delac Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education.

The Delac Foundation is here to help provide women in developing countries with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
